Richard Branson demands Indonesia halt drug offenders' executions

Virgin founder, Richard Branson, has joined the calls for the Indonesia government to spare the drug offenders on death row.


The men, including two convicted Australians Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan, have seen multiple prominent people get behind the push to request Indonesia stop using capital punishment for drug offences, including Australia's Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and many musicians.


Branson, a member of the Global Commission on Drug Policy, shared the findings of research the body has conducted, including observing that countries who still carry out executions have not seen a significant shift in supply and demand. Read more...
