Dog show murder mystery: Irish setter Jagger poisoned at Crufts

"He loved man, and he has been killed by a man."


That's the heartbreaking verdict delivered by Aleksandra Lauwers, after her beloved Irish setter Jagger died from suspected poisoning at the end of last week.


The dog, also known as Thendara Satisfaction, passed away after returning to Belgium from the Crufts dog show in Birmingham and Lauwers has a stark message for whoever was behind his demise:


"To the person who has done it, hope you can sleep well knowing you have killed our love, family member and best friend to our son."



In a case that's caused much confusion at Crufts, the largest dog show in the world held annually in Birmingham in the UK, investigators are trying to determine how exactly Jagger passed away, and by whose hand. His other co-owner, Dee Milligan-Bott, has said he was fed poisoned beef while waiting on the bench at the show. Read more...
